About Our Teachers

Our Oxbridge Academy Summer Enrichment Program Staff features our team of dedicated and experienced teachers who are passionate about fostering a love for learning throughout the summer. Our instructors bring a wealth of expertise, subject mastery, and enthusiasm to the classroom. 

Rob Frackelton

Economics Teacher
Education: B.S., Economics and History, Wake Forest University, cum laude M.A., Liberal Arts, The University of Richmond

A member of the Oxbridge Academy faculty since 2014, Mr. Frackelton’s teaching success is highlighted by a 2017 Florida Council on Economic Education (FCEE) “Teacher Spotlight,” a Florida Stock Market Challenge Distinguished Advisor of the Year award along with three Governor’s Awards of Excellence from FCEE. After receiving a grant from the Anne Goss Foundation, he helped establish Oxbridge’s Student Investment Club, which continues to grow today. In October of 2022, Mr. Frackelton helped launch the Free Enterprise Institute with a distinguished speaker series and other programming that examines the role of capitalism in finance, economics, and entrepreneurship. Currently, Mr. Frackelton serves as the coordinator for the FEI and enjoys sharing his passion for economics with the rest of the community.

Tracy Wolfe

Learning Support Specialist
Education: B.S., Ed Special Education, English, Minor, Public Relations, Benedictine University, B.A., Ed English Education, University of North Florida M.Ed, Special Education, University of North Florida

Mrs. Wolfe has worked in education and public relations. She was a special education teacher and department head in Illinois and North Carolina schools and handled public relations work for NASCAR. She joined Oxbridge Academy in 2015 and coached the girls’ basketball team from 2015 to 2019, winning state championships in 2018 and 2019 and three regional and district championships during her coaching tenure.

Dr. Marjorie Chiarolanzio

Social Sciences Teacher
Education: Teaching degree in secondary education,  Florida Atlantic University, B.S., Political Science, American University, M.S., Management and Administration of Educational Programs, Ph.D., Organizational Leadership, Nova Southeastern University

A native Michigander who grew up passionate about history, debate, and international affairs, Dr. Chiarolanzio is also certified by the Florida Department of Education in Secondary Social Studies and Educational Leadership. A faculty member since 2014, “Dr. C” directs Oxbridge’s highly regarded Model United Nations program, which won state and national competitions in 2020, 2021 and 2023.

Rochain Burrell

Math Teacher
Education: B.S., Mathematics Florida Atlantic University

Before joining Oxbridge Academy in 2016, Mr. Burrell spent eight years teaching mathematics and AICE (Advanced International Certificate of Education) Thinking Skills in the Palm Beach County School District.

Economics and U.S. Government


Embark on a riveting journey through government and economics, exploring the foundations of American Government as well as Micro and Macro principles with real-world applications. This unique course combines the two core subjects into a dynamic study on decision making. From the Constitution and the branches of government to supply and demand and macroeconomic conditions, delve into policy intricacies that impact all Americans. Readiness: Middle School

 

Gain a competitive edge and dive in fully equipped with the essential skills for success! From mastering effective note-taking techniques to conquering your summer reading list, this dynamic course is designed to empower you from day one. Meet new classmates, learn the campus, and get ahead of the curve to step confidently into the next chapter of your academic journey!

Grades 6, 7, & 8 | 1 Week | Non-Credit | Jul 15 - Jul 19, 2024 | (8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.)

Readiness: Upper School

 

Step into Upper School prepared and poised for success with our comprehensive Readiness course. This program will help familiarize you with Oxbridge Academy coursework as you begin to create your successful 4-year academic plan. Develop effective time-management and studying techniques while focusing on confidence, resilience, growth, and socialization skills. Master notetaking, and engage in crucial summer reading, all while gaining a deeper understanding of Oxbridge Academy and getting a head start on your path to success.

Grades 9 & 10 | 1 Week | Non-Credit | Jul 15 - Jul 19, 2024 | (12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.)

Environmental Science: Field Research

Explore nature like a scientist and dive into hands-on activities to learn about plants, animals, and ecosystems while conducting experiments, discovering the wonders of the environment, and making friends along the way. Get ready for a journey into the great outdoors, where curiosity and exploration meet science! 

Foundations: Reading & Writing

Don’t let the summer dull your academic edge. Our Foundations in Reading and Writing course will keep your close reading skills sharp and your writing abilities polished, ensuring you’re ready to hit the ground running on the first day of school. Engage with various texts, sharpen your analytical skills, and hone your writing craft to excel in English Language Arts.

Computer Science: Video Game Creation

Level up your skills and prepare to code your way to the top. Learn programming basics and game design principles, gain hands-on experience in coding, graphics, and sound as you collaborate with fellow gamers to tackle exciting challenges and elevate your skills.

Algebra I

Limited Spots

Excel in your math journey by reinforcing skills and building confidence through this comprehensive course. Explore topics such as operations with fractions, decimals, and percent’s, delve into graphing, understand exponents, tackle polynomials, and set a solid foundation for advanced math concepts.

Algebra 2

Limited Spots

Prepare for success in Algebra 2 with this course, which reviews Algebra 1 topics such as linear functions, systems of equations, exponential functions, quadratic functions, radical functions, and rational functions. Master these fundamentals to confidently tackle advanced algebraic concepts.
